- Secrets of Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream – Levitating Plates
- Spooky Tendrils from Corn Starch – High-Voltage, Hair-Raising Fun
Submersibles Wonder Materials!
- Build and test your own submersibles - Levitating Superconductors
- Solder control circuits and race submersibles - Nanotechnology-inspired fabrics!
Things that Float Science Tours / Career Talks
- Walk on a liquid ! - Learn about Girl Scientists
- Hovercraft Rides - The Science of Fingerprinting
- Buoyancy with Light and Heavy Gases – Tour the college campus
Gravity and Pressure Projects and Demos
- The Power of Vacuum - Eggdrop competition
culminating in a Physics Girl Show for Family, Friends and Teachers!
See what Parents of the 2013 Camp Girls say about the Physics Wonder Girls Camp:
My daughter had a great time! She loves to do the “hands on” learning. The young women who worked with the girls were very awesome role models. They made learning exciting and fun! I cannot say enough about how impressed I was with Megan’s experience. I hope there are more opportunities throughout her high school years! Thank you again, Dr. Ramos!

I wanted to let you know how much our family appreciated our daughter being given the opportunity to participate in this event. Any chance that a young student is provided to get deeper into math and science I feel should be taken advantage of. Many are intimidated by the words themselves but when given an opportunity, such as this, have their eyes opened to what they can do. The hands on, practical, introduction to science made it fun and interesting. Participating in this event has open new conversations between us about what our daughter’s future might be.

I want to take this time to thank both you and Indiana Wesleyan for providing an enrichment opportunity for middle school aged girls. We were warmly welcomed to the campus. The Physics Camp allowed my daughter to venture beyond, her comfort zone. Not only did she make new friends, but she was able to conduct hands-on physics experiments. Daily, she excitedly would explain what she did and was able to explain how and why, regarding the experiments…Again, thank you for providing this wonderful opportunity, to enrich the minds of middle school girls.
